How To Start A PTC Site
I have seen many people asking in forums and in comment boxes on blogs for awhile now wanting to know how to start a paid to click site. It’s not that much different than any other site or online business. The first thing you will need to get you started is funds. Having funds before you start the business is crucial, too many people open sites barely able to pay their hosting bill and this usually leads to them not being able to pay members and losing their host eventually.
You shouldn’t start your PTC site off with less than $2000 in your AlertPay or PayPal account. Running a paid to click site is not cheap and it will take some funds on your part starting out if you want the program to go anywhere.
You will of course need to find a provider, I see many people going with cheap hosts just to get their site off the ground, this is not a good idea. Some hosting companies like HostGator even have policies against paid to click sites, so you should read the TOS of any host you’re considering. Above all no matter what you do, you should never attempt to run a paid to click site on a sub-domain or free hosting plan. Paid to click sites require a lot of bandwidth and other resources to run properly and efficiently. One host I have found that is very reliable and has a very good reputation, is ByetHost. ByetHost offers affordable rates and the option to upgrade your hosting as you go if you need more resources like bandwidth. I have been using this provider for over 2 years now and have had not a single complaint on any part of their service. You can visit the ByetHost website by clicking this link, without it taking you away from this page.
Once you have your webhost picked out, the next thing you’re going to need is a payment processor, I know this may seem like common sense to some of you, but you’d be surprised the mistakes some people make when they’re in a hurry to make a few bucks. As mentioned above, you shouldn’t start a paid to click site with less than $2000 dollars. The reason for this is some sites don’t get started out so quickly, so for the first few weeks, you may need to pay users “out of pocket” until the site becomes more successful and is generating it’s own expenses plus some. If you don’t have the money up front, that will lead to payment delays, then complaints, users will stop joining and current users may abandon your site for good at the first mention of scam, because scam always comes after delays in services in the paid to click industry and most everyone knows it.
Another thing that you will need the money for will be mentioned later in this article, back to payment processors. Payment processors are how you will pay your users, most paid to click sites use AlertPay or PayPal, however PayPal has some extra rules and agreements that prevent some ptc sites from being supported, the account gets frozen within a few days, especially if you do not submit the proper paperwork requested. AlertPay is your best choice for a payment process if you’re just starting out. You will need to verify your AlertPay account before you start your business, they have sending and receiving limits and this will affect your business as you will be sending and receiving far more than the monthly limit, same goes for PayPal if you chose to use that processor instead. Both PayPal and AlertPay are free to register and use to a limited amount just to test things out, you can click on either link without being taken away from this page.
Once you have your hosting and payment processor, it’s time to pick a script. By script I mean the software used to run/operate a paid to click site. The two most popular scripts are the Bux script and the Aurora acript, they’re several other scripts but all share the same thing. The fact they all could use improvement and come packaged containing various bugs. If you’re not good with MYSQL or php programming, here’s another part where funds will come into play, not only do you have to buy the script but you may need to “hire” a programmer or a webmaster. A webmaster is only if you of course don’t have any knowledge of installing a site. The programmer to decode, debug and correct any programs or existing bugs with your script of choice, you may also need a programmer later on if you ever want to add new features to your site like lottery or instant cashout.
This is pretty much the basis of getting your ptc started. The work isn’t done yet, with the rise in scams lately, a lot of users don’t join programs that do not offer support or a forum. You will need to install a forum at least, this allows your members to give you personal feedback on how and what could make your site better. Customer and potential-customer feedback is crucial to the success of any business.
Alternatively there are now hosts that provide hosting specifically for paid to click programs, such as BuxHost. Using these sites you do not need any programing or php knowledge and the PTC script it already installed for you along with the domain and everything else you need. It’s basically a turn key business.
